St Peter’s School is an independent Anglican day and boarding school in Cambridge, New Zealand, founded in 1936 on a 100 acre campus designed by architect Roy Lippincott. Built to resemble an English country estate, the school has grown into one of Waikato’s largest private schools, enrolling students from Years 7 to 13 and becoming fully coeducational in 1987. Its facilities include boarding houses, specialist academic centres, extensive sports infrastructure and Owl Farm, a joint venture with Lincoln University that supports agricultural and environmental learning.
The school offers NCEA and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and operates a broad range of academies in sport, performing arts and business. Major developments since the 2000s include the Robb Sports Centre, the Avantidrome velodrome, new junior school facilities and the Business and Entrepreneurial Centre. St Peter’s has also implemented a structured well-being curriculum and expanded its co curricular programme across sport, music and theatre. Alumni include national and international athletes, entrepreneurs and figures in academia and the arts.
